Chris Foster, a world champ in the making!

Motor Tabs sponsored triathlete Chris Foster has been selected for the US National Duathlon Team that will be competing in Duathlon World Championships on Sept. 26 in Concord, NC. This is a great honor to be recognized as one of the top run/bikers in the country and to be able to go head to head with the best in the world!



For those who may be scratching their heads a bit: Duathlon is an offshoot of triathlon that involves a 10k run/40k bike (draft legal in this format)/5k run. It is generally a very competitive and well-known sport in Europe and was quite popular in the US in the 90s. Europeans have historically dominated this event as they have more support for the sport in their respective countries.

Regardless, selections were competitive this year since the World Championships are being held in the US for the first time in many years. As such, the US is making a big effort to showcase this event and hopefully revitalize the sport in this country--in order to help do this, $50,000 of prize money will be offered at this highly competitive event in late September.
